Not right away, but eventually you will probably have to when paying a Contract Geek the agreed upon fees or if the Contract Geek requests that the project fees are placed into "Safe Keeping".

No, you can get paid directly by the Project Manager but for the sake of convenience you may wish to be paid via the ContractGeeks.com payment system. How do I communicate with a Contract Geek? Top...
You may post messages on the message private boards. If you post a private message, only the Contract Geek it is addressed to will be able to see it. That Contract Geek will also be notified by e-mail that you posted a message to him.

If you are new to ContractGeeks.com, click the Project Manager link at the top or bottom of any page and you will be guided through the registration process.

How does it work? Top...
After signing up, you may "Create A Project" and provide all the details of the service you want. Contract Geek's will then be able to view your project and bid on it. This is similar to an auction, with an expiry date whereby you communicate wtih the Contract Geek and negotiate terms on a private message board.

Once negotiated, you choose the winning bidder yourself. The chosen Contract Geek will then have the option of accepting your agreed upon terms or declining them within a specified time frame.

If he/she doesn't not respond within the specified time frame (ususally 24 hrs) the Project Manager then has the option of extending his/her project. If the Contract Geek responds within the said time frame, he/she will then begin to work on your project.

How much does this cost? Top...
Project Manager's can post projects on ContractGeeks.com FREE of Charge. However there is a nominal charge associated with posting Featured Projects, registering as a Certified Project Manager and Winning Project Bids. Charging these small fees helps to maintain the quality of the ContractGeeks.com Community.
